Musk said yesterday that his deal to purchase Twitter might be in jeopardy due to a disagreement over the number of fake accounts on the social media platform. Musk tweeted that the deal “cannot move forward” unless Twitter can demonstrate that less than 5% of daily users are fake or spam accounts. Fueling again, doubts about the operation valued at nearly $44 billion.

The magnate estimates that 20% of the users of the social network are fake or bots, compared to the 5% admitted by the company. This percentage he said was the most conservative threshold of his estimate, according to a report by Bloomberg News.
